Black Canadian National Conference

Unity For Strategic Action

ABOUT
BLACK CANADIAN NATIONAL CONFERENCE: A Multi Panel Conference and rare opportunity to dialogue on leadership and economic empowerment. A meeting to unite, empower and network to forge better alliances with other leaders from all over Canada. Through our involvement we realized our community leaders, elected political leaders and those running for office, do not know each other, so we planned this conference to help bridge the gap. A non partisan initiative to steer and inspire our National Leadership direction to the next level. Also "Wealth Creation" focused with ideas on how to work, fund & strategize together. A great opportunity to network and learn.

Objectives: This is a think-tank and panel style solution finding conference. And an opportunity to network with other black community leaders and doers from all over Canada.
Hosted: Steve Kerr (former Councillor candidate) & Tiffany Ford (School Board Trustee).
Keynote Speaker: Dr Alvin Curling (Former MP).

Leadership Empowerment Panel: Frantz Benjamin (Montreal Councillor), Sophia Brown Ramsay (Mississauga former candidate), Abdul Abdi (Ottawa MP Candidate), Garnett Manning (Former Brampton Councillor) and Kevin Junor (Deputy Superitendant at Ontario Corrections) & Former Regimental Sergeant Major (Canadian Forces).

Economic Empowerment Panel: Rocco Achampong (A seasoned lawyer and Former Toronto Mayoral Candidate), Elcho Stewart (President of the Network of Black Business & Professional Women), Kevin Erskine (Mortgage Agent, Real Estate Investor and Finance Coach), Gregory Hines (Business Owner, Federal Member of Parliament NDP Candidate for Markham - Stouffville), Leo Johnson (Social Entrepreneur and Human Rights Activist), Richard Ausar Stewart (Founding President of The Lions Circle, Ontario’s largest black men’s leadership development organization).
